Trip Itinerary "Uncharted"

Off the Grid Expeditions is thrilled to announce the launch of a new adventure series called "Baja Uncharted". This exciting series is specifically designed for adventurous and daring thrill-seekers. The journey will involve driving over 200 miles daily, with limited stops on the trail. If you're interested in taking part, you must be experienced and have some mechanical knowledge to work on your UTV. You should know how to change belts and tires and handle other mechanical issues that may arise.

We will have a lead UTV and a sweep UTV with mechanics and medics, and chase support will be available near the highways. If you encounter any significant problems, our mechanics will be available to assist in fixing your UTV. We aim to explore this amazing peninsula with long days and big miles. However, it's essential to note that this adventure is unsuitable for rookies.

The arrival time to our destinations each night will depend on how the day goes. On the trail, you must carry 10 gallons of fuel and lunch on board. At the end of each day, regardless of the arrival time, you must complete UTV prep and mechanical repairs.

Meet up time is 6am in Tecate at our secure paring lot (address will be emailed to you after registration and payment)

Day 1 of the journey will be a long and challenging one, covering a distance of 250+ miles from Tecate to the mountains of Ensenada on a giant loop. We will start early in the morning and the route will take us through Tecate, La Rumorosa, Laguna Salada, Cohabuso Junction, Then West back over the mountains and  toward Ensenada. Please remember to pack your own lunch and spare fuel for the journey. at least 10 additional gallons of fuel.

The terrain we will be covering will consist of extremely narrow and rocky mountain trails with cliff ledges on the sides. Additionally, there will be dry lake beds that may be wet. However, the dirt roads are very fast and well maintained. There will also be a few stages on the highway that will allow for a quick rest.
